ebook reader unconference update

Here is an update on the ebook reader unconference idea: (1) host an online conversation until April 30, (2) include at least one in-person workshop focusing on the ebook readers (see last post for the products), (3) provide surveys to gather data and opinions about ebook readers and their existing/potential use in the field of higher education, (4) write an article about the experience, inlcluding survey results and what librarians and educators would like to see in future ebook reader products.

Please provide feedback to this post if you'd like to help, want to attend the April 1 workshop, or have constructive feedback.

In summary:

Online conversation (via blog right now- wiki forthcoming) from now until April 30

In-person workshop:
Tuesday April 1 (no joke)
1 to 4 PM Central Standard Time
LRC Innovations Room 1144
NE campus of Tulsa Community College

Possible poster session:
Oklahoma Library Association annual conference
April 21-23
Tulsa, OK

Summarize results of survey and begin to write article- May 1

Hi DL,

Unless unforeseen circumstances disallow, I plan to attend the e-reader workshop. I look forward to all the test drives ;-)
