iCaucus begins

Check out the August 21 Library Journal article about iCaucus, a new branding push for information schools. There was a press release that announced its formation, indicating that 19 schools (14 of which are currently ALA accredited) are on board.

The initiative was spearheaded, evidently, by the late Ray von Dran. Since the iCaucus announcement was so soon after von Dran's death, I can only think that the 19 iSchool deans decided that the time to act was upon them. I hope there is follow through; this sounds like it has potential.

Here is the press release of August 22 from the branding and marketing firm.
