Audiobook files and the devices that will work with them

Will audiobooks work with all personal music players? Well, there are questions of formatting. iPods are Apple based files (.aac) and other mp3 players are Windows based (.wmp, .wav, etc).

So, if I have an iPod and 'check out' a digital audiobook from the Tulsa City County Library, the files won't play on my iPod because they are Windows based.

The Librarian in Black posted about what devices can be used with audiobooks. If you are interested it is worth a few minutes of your time.
